Another huge day for the Ultrabook world as Computex gets started on day one! Most of the big surprises like the Asus TaiChi and Transformer Book were outed on Day 0, but there was still a flood of exciting news today. We worked hard to bring you detailed coverage here at Ultrabook News and now we’ve got a handy round-up of all the Computex Day 1 news; come on in and check it out!
Fujitsu has announced the Lifebook UH572 and U772 Ultrabooks featuring a 13.3″ or 14″ screen respectively. The sleek U772 is a mere 15mm thick and has a tiny bezel, while the somewhat less expensive UH572 is a bit thicker at 18mm. Both are based on Ivy Bridge and both will be available in the US!
It’s the first time we’ve been able to get hands-on with a branded Ivy Bridge Ultrabook. This Fujitsu UH572 is running a Core i3 CPU at 1.5Ghz (to 2.0Ghz) and is showing the HD 4000 GPU in the device manager. It appears that Fujitsu is ready to go with the next-gen of Ivy Bridge Ultrabooks.
