Business and pleasure mixed into a fun and inspirational package. The touch-swivel Windows 8 Lenovo ThinkPad Twist is a solid performer with an excellent working fascia for many scenarios. It’s not a consumer tablet though and there are one or two characteristics to be aware of but at a starting price of $899 for a Core i5 variant (959 Euro, 899 Euro street price) we think it offers solid value for money.

Rising up the charts at Ultrabooknews is the Lenovo Thinkpad Twist S230u. Targeted at business users it’s a smart and strong looking convertible touch Ultrabook but the current $746 offer could see it landing in a large number of consumer hands too.

With the ThinkPad Twist and IdeaPad Yoga, Lenovo now has Ultrabook convertible options for its business and consumer laptop segments. The ThinkPad Twist, with starting price of $799, is actually one of the cheapest Ultrabook convertibles on the market. Surprisingly the consumer-positioned IdeaPad Yoga 13 is actually more expensive, starting at $999 — though it does come with a better display. The ThinkPad Twist is now available while the IdeaPad Yoga 13 is still a few weeks off.

The Lenovo Twist / Edge S320U / N3C27 has surfaced. It’s a convertible Ultrabook with 12.5” 1366×768 IPS rotating screen, hybrid hard drive, 48.8Wh battery and a weight of 1.57KG / 3.46lb. Pricing starts at $899 in the USA, around the same in UK pounds and early indications point to about 1050 in Euros.
