The TP300, TP450, TP500 and TP550 Transformer Book Flips have just leaked ahead of an ASUS press conference. These Ultrabook-class 2-in-1s have a Yoga-style 360-degree fold-back screen and will come with 13-inch, 14-inch or 15-inch screens and offer Nvidia discreet GPUs and DVD options.

The Samsung Series 7 Ultra isn’t an Ultrabook convertible which means it’s not getting the best of media attention right now but please, take a closer look because the specs are spot-on for many of you that could be looking for a ‘pro’ Ultrabook. Full HD, Discreet graphics, full SSD and a touch option. In out opinion this could be one of the best Ultrabooks yet. It’s available for pre-order now in Germany so here’s the detail, pricing and an idea of availability. I will be checking this out at CeBIT in about 4 weeks.

This video comes from GadjetJM and it’s a good overview of the new Samsung Series 7 Ultra that got launched a few days ago. This Series 7 is looking like a real powerhouse of an Ultrabook with touch and discreet graphics. Backlit keyboard, SSD and a Full HD screen of 1920×1080.

While we continue to track down information on the ASUS U500 and Transformer Book, Vivo Book or whatever else the new Win 8 laptops might be called on October 23rd, here’s some info on ASUS S-Series S46 and S56. [For info on the S200 Touch, see here.] The four variants cover 14 and 15.6 screens with built-in and discreet graphics options. All variants have the same 1366×768 resolution and an optical drive.

On an earnings call yesterday, Paul Otellini, CEO of Intel, told journalists that Ultrabooks would reach $699 by ‘fall’ – Q4 of this year. Does he not read Ultrabooknews? Ultrabooks are already selling for under $699. Take the Acer Aspire Timeline M5 for example.
